WTF is wrong with the post office? I hate to sound like a racist but I can't remember the last time I went in and had a person wait on me that was American and could actually speak our language. Today I had to explain to a guy with a wrap on his head how to count money. I was getting a money order for a gun in the amount of $825 and I gave him $830. He could not make change or even count the money correctly. Not to mention I couldn't understand a word he said. It shows it is a government agency with a huge bias and test advantage in scoring toward minorities and woman. At some point were going to have to fight to get our own country back. :gun:

Our post office is ok and everyone speaks central ohioan which is sort of english with a hillbilly twang. But they will cut your arms off at exactly 430 pm when they pull down the door over the counter

My local post office is the main post office for plano. Every time I go in I see no less then five or six employee's. I can't remember the last time I saw a person of what I consider to be US background. Asian and Arab dominate my local post office by a landslide.

Does the post office still use a different point system on it's application exam? I thought years ago it did but I thought they stopped that. Of course it may just be my local post office and it may be because a high number of friends apply there. It could also be that even though it's the main office this is East Plano and not West Plano or should I say the money side. So they may be getting discriminated against and put on the poor side of town. I really don't know, but being able to speak the language and make simple currency transactions should be considered minimum skill levels to have the job.

Believe it or not but those folks might be testing out better on the tests than the products of our public government schools. Of course, speaking English probably isn't a requirement on the tests.:D I heard that Birmingham, AL is bringing teachers in from overseas to teach Math and Science because they can't get enough qualified teachers locally.

I understand that they may be very smart, I made no comment about that. What I am saying is just like driving by local schools and see that the outside signs are in both spanish and english that this person should know how to speak the language. But I actually had to count the money for him and lay it on the counter. He counted it three times and couldn't figure it out. I am not exagerating that at all. Of course when he opened the drawer it only had a few bills. I really think 99% of what they may do might be Credit cards or debit cards and this may be something they don't do. BUT THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO.

My next door neighbors don't speak english, but sometimes their SS checks git put in my mailbox by mistake. They don't work and have 3 of those electric scooters to ride around on. Go figger.

I watched my neighbors toss trash over the fence into my yard (diapers no less). I threw it back. They acted like they didn't speak English... Hmmm, they spoke it fine in the front yard the other day. What difference does it make what language you speak when it comes to throwing trash into someone's yard?

They disappeared in the middle of the night. Turns out they financed their home through some guy in Houston for 20% and they BORROWED the downpayment from another source. Defaulted on both.

Now 2 ladies with 20 kids (that do not speak English) moved in there. We have another lady (who also claims not to speak English .... hmmm, a pattern?) telling neighbors to not pay their HOA dues. The HOA dues pay for the yard upkeep, common areas, pool, trash, water and sewer ($120 / month). So I expect my dues will continue to rise to pay for the water/sewer/trash.... of the deadbeats.

We have one old white guy who is $6k behind in dues and was bragging. I called him a theif to his face. I should learn to say that in Spanish so I can tell the other neighbors.

Okay...this reminded me of something. Many years back I walked into a McDonalds in San Antonio to get some breakfast. It was located on the southeast side of town; as I walked up to the counter, the girl behind the register asked me what I wanted in spanish. Apparently she observed the color of my skin, the color of my hair, the general appearance of my features and pre-judged that I am hispanic and spoke spanish. Well at the time I had not spoken spanish in years and had quite literally forgotten almost all of it..sure, I knew the bad and important words...beer, women, sex, food (in that order) but converstational spanish was just not there. So I started getting on her about being in the US, not speaking english, and that she should go back to her own country. Then I ordered breakfast from the white guy at the next register. All the hispanics there just kept looking at me as if I was the bad guy and hod the wrong take on things. Never went back there. True story.

Good story and you'll like the movie if for no other reason than Walt is a grumpy ol' bastard that comes off as a real life Bad Santa. Never, really had an experience like yours simply because I am ghostly pale with red hair...of course my friends do say that I am the stereotypical Drunken, ranting Irishman. It is kind of nuts how people make assumptions based on our appearances and then correlate that to our values, social standing, language etc. Every once and a while I'll dress like a complete hick and go into places with an extremely exagerated southern accent just to piss people off.
