Well I look at that issue like this. The use of nuclear weapons by any country should be dismissed as an option. Keep in mind what they used in WWII was nothing compared to what they have now, if we turn to a nuclear war I'm not sure the world would be worth living in after it. The only reason to even keep them now is to balance the threat and keep things in check. To use them in anything except a very last extreme in defense only is unthinkable.

So , if that Korean nukes somebody, should we retaliate in kind?
IF North Korea did use a Nuke I don't feel that it would really be that big of a challenge for us to shut down all the facilities used in production first. Then a strong shock and awe with conventional weapons. You can't start chunking nukes, the fallout in an area like that would be devastating to many areas. Not to mention Nuclear war is the unthinkable, if it happens I don't think mankind stands a chance.

I'm betting BO would get really mad and blame Bush in a strongly worded speech... and nothing else. Goodbye Hawaii, it was nice having you. Hey, Peurto Rico, you want the 50th star on the flag, Hawaii doesn't need it anymore.

IT WOULD BE SOME MUCH FUNNIER IF IT WASN'T SO SCARY.
I agree that we really don't have to use them since we have more than enough in the area of powerful bombs that would take care of any conventional urban target. We also have battlefield nukes that are smaller in comparison to the Hiroshima bomb that could be used against remote targets. Remember many test have been done on the sites that we struck in Japan and I myself stood on that same ground in Japan when I was a Marine. You would never know a 100,000 people died in that city by the signs today. I think our problem is the newer smaller nukes that can be used by nut cases like the North Koreans or Iran. And let's not forget that Islamofacist would love to nuke themselves in one of our cities. The Intercontinental Ballistic Missile is probably currently beyond these chumps capability for the lower 48, but our Hebrew allies are close enough for little missiles and we can't have that! For the most part the Russians and China need American to by their oil and other exports so they really never have wanted to nuke us and themselves out of business. Our biggest problem is within with BHO. I agree with Max that it is not in any Legitimate State's interest to go the nuke route but I still think we should continue to build the best defensive shield ppossible just in case a rogue nation like N Korea pops one off our way! Right now we need to stop Hussein Jr.:rofl

I hope we are not dumb enough to resort to that type of action. Now that is not to say that we shouldn't carpet bomb a country and then not move in to help them rebuild, not give them aid, and let the rest of the world know that they are the a holes who started it.

I believe the USA still has the balls to take this action, the high level Military advisor's are key to this, if the NK's go bonkers with a first strike, BHO has no choice to strike back, with appropriate sized actions to make a fruitful end result both politically & militarily.
