On Hannity a few nights ago he interviewed someone about a new movie, "The Stoning of Soraya M", based on a true story of a wife executed on trumped up adultery charges so her husband can marry a 14 year old. They also includes some scene excerpts from the film including the Iranian wife being graphically stoned to death by her husband, sons and others. I am warning you this is the stuff of nightmares.

Graphic violence aside, it points out the brutality of our enemies and the lack of sanctity of life. It also provides insight into a religious system that permits this type of travesty to occur.

Here is a link to Charles Colson's review from a Christian's perspective:

There are excerpts from the movie on Youtube, but you be warned it will disturb and infuriate you.

Weren't adulterors stoned in the old testament?

There was lots of violence and primitive behavior in the Old Testament, often caused by people turning their backs on God (or attacking the Children of God). In the New Testament, the message of mercy and forgiveness was (is) part of the Christian Faith. This is evidenced by Jesus forgiving the Woman at the Well and the stoning of the Martyr Stephen for which the Apostle Paul (before being converted to Christianity) held the coats of the persecutors. Muslim is the religion that still teaches that women are second class citizens and permits mutilations and killings of women.
