Big "G", little "o" means "Go" with Cheerio's
(talk about dating oneself, I'll need to reflect with Colonel Ked's about this one))

It is a daily practice of mine to include this great nation in my prayers but the day is quickly approaching when the public expression of praise and prayer for blessing to the one true GOD will not be allowed without great penalty. Praise HIM who from all blessings flow!!!

Uh, based on what?
This is absolutely the most outrageous, paranoid and untrue comment I've ever seen expressed here.
The truth can not be more contrary.
It's been evident that the agenda of the Christian coalition has brought the ridiculous excesses of PC to the forefront and prompted a backlash.
The adverts by politicians in the recent elections are blatant examples of that by the incresed numbers of politicians publicly acknowledging and afirming their belief in God and even the Democratic candidates understood that they needed to do as well if they sought office.
Sounds like the same alarmist drivvel that prompted Congress to add "under God" to the "Pledge of Alligence" back during the McCarthy era to differentiate "us" from the "Godless commies".
Conspiracy theorists need look elsewhere.
I'm no religious scholar but it seems to me that the "great deceiver" is to fool the faithful with their own faith. Perhaps that is what you're seeing and we should be wary of such open protestations of faith?

The noun protestation has 2 meanings:
Meaning #1: a formal and solemn declaration of objection
Synonym: protest
Meaning #2: a strong declaration of protest
If you mean profession then I am guilty of nothing more than expressing my faith openly. The founding fathers goal and desire was to insure freedom of religion not freedom from religion. If you are up for it I would gladly be willing to start a tread to more clearly explain.

It can mean just a "strong declaration" without objection. The act itself is the protest.
I agree on what you declare as the founding fathers intentions.
I've never seen any action to the contrary that has been truly serious nor taken as such by rational thinkers.
