It's really hard to believe. I remember the event well. It's only been 20 years. Does anyone really think 20 years in prison is adequate punishment for the taking of 270 lives? Or is punishment an outdated concept now? It really confounds me that this man is being released.

The message to terrorists is: "The West is weak. Your tactics work. Bomb us."

And prepare for a wave of compassion pleas from terrorist prisoners.

I have to agree with both of you. This person has killed more people than most serial killers that are perceived as insane animals. Charles manson won't be released because of illness,why should this scum??? It really disturbs me what this world has come to regarding punishing criminals. It almost seems as if you are for punishment, then you are the criminal. Since when do mass murderers get special treatment. The family of this 200+ people don't get the closure that his family is going to have. To me that is a slap in the face against any kind of justice that we as a decent society are supposed to portray.

I think they should have released him from prison years ago, he could have ridden the light out IMHO. For years at the Texas, Sherman crossing of the red river there was a sign that read "Welcome to Texas, home of Sparky" :) Do gooders made them stop using sparky because it was too mean, now they want them to fade off peacefully.
