Seems like we get depressed and worked up over all the crap coming down from BHO and company. This is not a healthy situation. We need some good news in our lives. I know it is sometimes hard to find in this stampede of Democrat actions, but here's some good news for those of you who support freedom from Liberal tyranny:
Fred Barnes has written an outstanding op-ed about how the Congressional Republicans have been functioning very well as an opposition party. After the election Republican moderates urged Congressional Republicans to work with BHO so as not to further antagonize voter groups such as women, gays, Hispanics, young voters, etc. Support for this "appeaser" approach was echoed by many Libs, including those on this forum. Conservatives were accused of being out of touch, never able to regain power, etc., etc.
Instead, most Republicans in Congress stood by their ideals and took a conservative stance -- calling out the Dems for what they were trying to ram through Congress. This has put the Dems on the defensive and positions the Republicans to benefit from positive public opinion as the BHO administration and its Congressional soulmates falter. It also has thrown up roadblocks against much of the wacky legislation because the Dems do not have enough support in their own party (and political guts to do it without at least some Republican support). Here is link to story -- read it and enjoy:
