A couple of months ago I saw GB interview an ACORN spokesperson/laywer.

I thought I was watching A Sopronos remix. But it was real. The guy sounded mob and had corruption written all over him. Now it's simply being proven.

Wish it were true, but I don't think they will see the light because the people reporting and managing the editorial content of the MSM are liberals at heart. They are on a cause to "make a difference", not just report the news. Just look at reporter's voting habits and party affiliation -- overwhelmingly liberal. Just ask Bernie Goldberg, who worked for the MSM for many years.

As to the MSNBC report -- how typical. It plays down what really happened and the reality of what these ACORN jokers were doing to help people obviously presenting a criminal scheme. And it happened 3 times so far (who knows how many are to come?) And ACORN's weak response is that they were turned away at a couple of their offices and that they are being smeared?

Did anyone see how the reporters were dressed? The "pimp" looked like a white version of a 1970's pimp, with hat, shades, etc. The "prostitute" looked like the type of trashy prostitute you see on police dramas. All so stereotypical that even a moron working for ACORN should have known they were being set up. But like their reporter soul-mates, they want to "make a difference".

Funny ACORN says they get few government dollars but reports I have seen say they get over 40% of it's funding from our pockets. ACORN should not only be cut off completely from tax dollars but full investigations should be launched to find out if these people acted on their own or if this is an ACORN policy.

I was talking with my dad today. He doesn't have cable and depends on the "State Run Media" for all his news. He tunes in every night. CBS evening news in particular.
I asked him what he thought about the ACORN story. He never heard of ACORN. Didn't have a clue. I enlightened him about it and a few other stories he hadn't heard about. I knew the state run media wasn't reporting much, but this hit me personally with the reality of it.

The State Run Media is doing a diservice to our country at the very least. Condoning corruption at a minimum. This giant corruption story is the largest corruption story in years, if not decades. Billions of taxpayer dollars at stake.

I second that Nelson. More courage, integrity, honor, respect for the journalism trade and love of country was displayed by just a few individuals on this one giant story then the entire force of the mainstream print, broadcast and cable media nationwide in a decade. As for Obama, America is beginning to see him as the fraud he is because of his own agenda, from Fox News, conservative talk radio, conservative news websites and blogs. ACORN Days From Being Re-funded?

When both houses of Congress voted to defund ACORN several weeks ago, what they actually did was bar lawmakers and federal agencies from giving any money to the community organizing group for the duration of the temporary budget agreement, or continuing resolution, that was in effect at the time. Continuing resolutions are used to extend federal spending, and keep the government running, when Congress can't agree on appropriations bills for the fiscal year. When the congressional defunding of ACORN went into effect on October 1, there was a continuing resolution in place that would last until October 31 -- this Saturday. The ACORN ban was in that resolution, so it will also expire on Saturday.

There are still no appropriations bills in place, so this week Congress will have to pass another continuing resolution to keep the federal government going. The word on the Hill is that the new resolution will probably be written to last until sometime in December.
