Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) will hand pick the parts that Obama wants from 2 versions that come out of the Senate sub-committees as a "merge" and then attach that version as an amendment to a bill that the House has already passed to tax the bonuses of the TARP (read AIG) corporate officers.

They don't need a full vote, only a majority of 51. They pull parlimentary procedure tricks to go around what is required to get what they deem is necessary.

The bill will be on Obama's desk by next Thursday.

What they are doing is crazy. I hope all voters remember this come the next election and they find themselves on the streets.

It's called reconciliation. Sometimes known as the nuclear option. What it's not is democracy.

If the dems use the nuclear option for this massive government takeover and transformation to socialism (they will) that the people clearly don't want, Congress will be further pushing the people off a cliff. Will they fight back? I think they will.
