I wonder how the African-American community feels about this one? Or the Latinos, or any other ethnic group of any other color for that matter.

Is this to increse our intelligence community's number of interpreters, linguists and spies of Muslim decent? You think we would do that one in a less conspicuous manner, or have already done that.

I just don't trust anything from Obama's administration, and with good reasons.

Like Hasan?
Right, low blow. I know.

After 9/11 do you remember when there was a push by the intelligence community to recruit Arabic and Farsi speaking Americans?

There were millions here who were qualified, but the shortages of those needed talents remained. I suppose they still do.

We Knew Hasan Had Turned And Did Nothing, Cool I Just Want You To Remember And Think About One Thing In All Of This, Think About The Way We Treated Americans Of Japanese Decent During And After Ww2

Hell My Dad Was Almost Strung Up By Some Football Players Back When He Was In College Right After Some Arab Attack Because He Is Very Dark Skinned He Said They Grabbed Him And Had A Knose?(of Well) But When They Heard Him Talk They Knew They Had Made A Mistake. No Make Sure You Don't Become One Of Those Football Players.

MYCAR, Sorry to hear about that incident with your dad. That was messed up.
Trust me, I'm nothing like an angry mob of ignorant hate mongers. But it does go to show the path of PC where we've come in America, that when someone doesn't like a Muslim recruiting on TV policy and speaks about it, that somehow that makes that person a bigot or racist to some. Usually to liberals.

I worked for an Iranian-American for 8 years in the past. His family came to America a year before the revolution. Very pleasant and friendly family. Very hard workers. I met many Muslims during that time, and had many political discussions as well. (Also ate a shitload of chicken and rice) One thing I learned in those discussions was, that Iranians trust Arab Muslims less then racist Americans do. Seriously.
The other thing I learned is that the majority of Arabs I spoke openly with think Americans are spoiled, lazy, and naive. They believe we live for today, and could care less about the future. I admit, there might be "some truth" to their perspectives, but it was the anger and resentment visible during those discussions (before 9/11) that I took note of.

I re-read my thread to see if it was anti-Muslim. I didn't see where it was. It was however anti-obama I admit. Most of my threads are.

Anyway, what is one to do? Not speak up about American-Muslim policies they disagree with?

I hear ya, Mycar. But what is more important, discrimination, or your life? In my mind, willingly opening yourself to death and destruction is just not prudent.

Of course we treated Japanese with great suspicion just after Japan surprised us by bombing Pearl Harbor, killing and wounding thousands of American soldiers and civilians. That natural reaction is coded into our human survival instinct. This is the same instinct liberals today seek to eliminate, and we have just witnessed the result: while under siege by Islamic terrorists, we place muslims in our military, ignore all the warnings, and literally let them kill us.

I consider myself fair-minded and non-discriminatory. But I will not sacrifice my life (and certainly not the lives of the people I love) just to maintain this belief. When my life is threatened, I will defer to my brain and my survival instincts.

I Do Understand Guys Im Just Trying To Make Sure We Don't Build The Suspition Up To What It Was Against The Jap's, I Know Alot Of Old People Who Still Hold Resentment And Anger Toward Every Japenese Person.

Personally I can understand the suspicion being worse towards Muslims then the Japanese for several reasons.

1. The Muslims attacked civilian targets killing innocent women, children and men.

2. There were Muslim Countries where their people went into the streets to cheer on and celebrate the murder of thousands of these innocent people.

3. Muslim Extremists hide out in the open, and "mostly" strike without warning, all while professing their religion is peaceful.

4. The Islamic/Muslim community, and their leaders and clergy rarely speak against the atrocities caused by their religion's felonious doctrines, including condoned mass murder, and beheadings of innocent human beings.

I easily understand the negative sentiment.
