If a consumer with a 40 mile range wants this car, that's good enough reason for me. Let them buy it! The market will determine whether it's a success. But anyone who thinks they're saving the planet with a battery industry has been duped imo.

I saw an article the other day about how the carbon footprint by electric cars is larger than gas. The coal burned to produce the electric for that overnight charge is much worse than the hour you spend driving a day. Then you consider, what are we going to do with all those batteries in 5 to 7 years??? We're gonna need bigger landfills.
