I figured I might as well post up a hello now that I've stopped lurking over here and started opening my mouth. Many of you may know me from the other 2-wheel related forums. My belief system will likely offend practically everyone, so consider yourselves warned.
Some high points, just to get them out of the way:
I'm extremely pro second ammendment as I feel the people should have the right to defend themselves against all threats, including those from their own government
I'm pro choice (not going into a long discussion on why as I've determined that nobody ever really changes their belief here, despite what the media folks on either side of the issue claim)
I detest big government. If the government way was the most efficient on everything, why is the military outsourcing so much? :)
I also detest the extreme swings to either the left or the right that our government seems to take these days. Where the hell have the moderates, or at least people with a little common sense gone?
I respect everyone's right to whatever faith they choose, or no faith at all, but don't try to force it upon me, and keep it the hell out of my government.

I forgot one. I think the current healthcare legislation is the biggest piece of bullsh*t in the history of the world. The company I work for has offices in Canada and Europe. I've talked at length to people in Canada and the UK about how their system works and its pros and cons from their perspective. So far, what it looks like is going to pass takes the bad parts of both socialized healthcare and the free market system, mashes them together, and calls it progress.

Welcome. Your beliefs will provide an interesting perspective and challenge to those of us on the right or left sides of the spectrum.:)

I plan to offer to add more emoticons during the 2010 elections. If I put them up now people will forget it long before the election. :gun:

I'm still trying to understand how the majority of pro choice people are anti-gun and the majority of the pro-lifers are pro gun. Human nature will never cease to amaze me :)

I guess it's all how you look at the purpose of a gun. It's like the glass half empty or glass half full. Some would say guns take freedom, some say guns protect freedom. I don't see a gun as a device to kill, I see a gun as a device to protect. IMHO.

I'm not pro life, nor am I religious right, I'm just pro small government, which means pro 2nd amendment.
Guns help protect us from the government, if nothing more than just a slight deterrent. IMO

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness...can only be achieved if you first survive birth, and secondly if you don't get your ass shot, stabbed, or bludgeoned to death by some piece of crap that refuses to work and therefore needs to rob you! Moderates are people who sit on the sidelines and wait till one side is winning and then join them or they are so confused about what they believe that they have been duped by the State-Run-Media that they think being for the Second Amendment makes them moderate! Surely you must know that guns are evil just like SUVs! :rofl

Not at the current prices for .50 BMG in the civillian market. $2.30/round is a killer.
