We could sure use some Global hoaxing about now AL!:rofl
The U.S. East Coast faces the coldest night of the season as frigid air spills south and threatens agriculture in Georgia, Alabama and the orange crop in Florida.
Freeze warnings were posted by the National Weather Service as far south as the Orlando area, which may be as many as 20 degrees below normal tonight, the National Weather Service said. The advisory alerts growers that subfreezing temperatures are imminent and may kill crops or other sensitive vegetation.
Tampa and others cities in the central part of the state are under a freeze warning from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. local time tomorrow. Temperatures may fall below 32 degrees Fahrenheit (zero Celsius) for more than three consecutive hours, the National Weather Service in Tampa said on its Web site.
“This is a pretty significant cold snap,” Matt Keefe, a meteorologist with AccuWeather.com Inc. in State College, Pennsylvania, said in a telephone interview. “This could really put a hurting on the citrus crop.” He said the jet stream, which normally keeps the coldest air north of the Hudson Bay in Canada, is centered over parts of Alabama and Mississippi. “The cold temperatures could last for a good part of the week,” he said.
Jacksonville, Florida, may see a record low tonight, Keefe said. The Miami area will see temperatures 12 degrees to 13 degrees below normal for this time of year, Keefe said.
Tonight will be the coldest and offer the greatest danger of crop damage, Keefe said. The next chance for freezing will come next week.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture last month estimated Florida’s orange crop will be 0.7 percent smaller than earlier forecast because adverse weather reduced fruit size.
In New York, overnight lows may be 22 degrees, with wind chills dropping the experience to single digits. Philadelphia may see a low of 20 degrees, Keefe said. Washington may slip to 19 degrees, he said.
As far as the rest of the world...Frozen!:rofl
Highest electric bill for December that I can ever remember. Damn shame I have to keep the heat on. Damn you Al (the Hoaxer) Gore.
India, China, all of Europe and Copenhaggen, along with the whole Northern Hemsiphere is under record cold and snow! Maybe those flat-earthers were right when they said we are heading into a cooling period in our history! Something to do with a lack of solar activity on the Sun!

Low temp of 14 degrees last night, right now the snow is heavy, with steady winds of 21 mph or better, last night gusts to 35 mph. lowest feel-like temp 1 degree.
At the moment the temp is 21 degrees with a feel-like temp of 5..
Only 2 & 1/2 months to go before hints of spring begin to appear

How is your snow blower handling that white stuff?
I am no scientist or anything but isnt that what they said Global warming would do. Heat the earth, melt ice caps and disrupt the weather flow to give us cooling.

How is your snow blower handling that white stuff?
Yes, we have white stuff, it's been a long slow storm, lucky for us, we are on it's outer fringe so the accumulation is modest, 4" between yesterday & today.
Instead of using the blower, I figured I'd kick start my exercise plan by pushing the snow with a 24" wide sweep shovel, this COLD snow is light & fluffy, spent over 3 hours pushing it about, including my elderly neighbors walks & drives.
Today I am gonna do the same.
The blower really is a life saver when it gets really deep 4, 6 8+ depending on the moisture/density & weight.

When I see the poles without ice in the dead of winter, then I'll believe, otherwise as far as I'm concerned, it's natural swings in the weather patterns, none of the winters I've exerienced in 47 years have been consistently shifting in one direction of the other.
Heck, I recall a few years back we had one heck of a mild winter, maybe 10" total snow all season, more rain & plenty of mild day's that allowed me to continue to ride. (1800 miles winter of 2003/2004 on the Ol Springer)

They have changed direction on AGW more times than I change my underwear! You prolly don't remember your basic science, but I will try to bring you up to speed. We and the earth create CO2 and the trees, oceans, and the atmosphere absorb it and turn it into O2! It is not a dangerous gas, instead it is one of God's designed on planet earth that separate this planet from all others in the universe! You can't say on one hand that we are going to burn up and on the other freeze to death! Either the polar icecaps are melting and the polar bear is dying or the ice has increased and their are thousands of polar bears. Been to Alaska lately? The idea that the planet is going to heat up is not in anyway connected to cold weather! Think about and then look up at the Sun and you may come to understand! The natural processes still remove the same amount of CO2 as it did 150 years ago(50%) inspite of the increase in manmade or nature-made CO2! Shazamm!!

For years they have advertised it to be global warming. People that put on demonstrations even admitted to turning A/C's up and targeting the warmest days on records for conferences so I would assume global warming always meant getting warmer. Only recently when the last ten years have gotten cooler did they change it to be climate change. I guess no matter what the bottom line is optimising profit.

Please don't make me point out the foolishness of confusing climate with weather.
One of the hallmarks of long-term climate change is a tendency towards more extremes in both temperature and precipitation. For instance, it is theorized that a disruption of the Gulfstream ocean current, that carries warm water from the Gulf of Mexico northeast towards the British Isles and Northwest Europe could result in those countries having much colder winters than they do now.
One may reasonably debate the anthropogenic (man-made) contribution to climate change. But there is little doubt that global average temperatures have increased by at least 1 degree F since the late 1800s.

You just debunked it yourself. Your going to tell me from 1800's to even 1950 that man had any effect on weather and the earths temperature? That statement in it self completely shows how BS this entire profit scam is. And without man even playing any part at all how many ice ages has the earth gone through in history? This is a for profit scam that could bankrupt every government on earth.
It's so irritating to continue to see the story change as time goes on, to see that so called scientist have to alter or fudge figures to make them read the way they need in order to continue funding. To watch a former VP fly around the world in his private plane leaving the carbon footprint of a small state in order to spread his lie. To watch a former VP influence the half wits we have in Washington and even get them to fund an electric car that will leave a larger carbon footprint to charge then the typical small car currently does. And on and on. The shit is getting so deep were drowning in it.

I did nothing of the sort.
Human activity can, and does, have noticeable effects on the climate. Just look at the "heat island" effect of built-up areas. Just about any local weather forecast or temperature report is going to show that the temperatures in built-up areas of a town or metropolitan area are going to be at least a degree or two warmer than in outlying areas.
You also have to consider the effects of large-scale deforestation; damming of rivers, etc. Even if you question (as do I) the strength of the connection between CO2 emissions and climate change - there are a host of human activities that are going to have an effect on the climate.

Damn TT, you choking on the Koolaid! Open your eyes brother!
Even the Chinese have slurped up too much!
Check it out!
Heavy snow brings Beijing to a virtual standstill, with large areas of China and Russia also affected.
A FREEZING cold front swept over much of northern China on Sunday with snowstorms snarling traffic and air travel, while some of the coldest temperatures in decades were forecast for coming days.
Gale-force winds sweeping down from Siberia could result in temperatures as low as minus 16 degrees in the capital today, the Beijing meteorological station said.
Such temperatures are believed to be the coldest in the capital in 40 years.
Yesterday, major highways in Beijing and Tianjin, as well as in the surrounding provinces and regions of Hebei, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia were closed due to the heavy snowfall.
Beijing Capital Airport said 120 departures had been postponed and 86 flights cancelled from late Saturday until mid-morning yesterday because of heavy snow and poor visibility.
Freezing temperatures have also hit Britain, which is bracing itself for one of the coldest winters for a century.
Parts of Scotland have been under snow for nearly three weeks and temperatures are expected to drop to minus 16 degrees.
Meteorologists predicted the freezing snap will last until at least mid-January, with snow, ice and severe frosts dominating.
And the likelihood is that the second half of the month will be even colder.
On New Year's Day 10 extreme weather warnings were in place, with heavy snow expected in northern England and Scotland.
The continued freezing temperatures did not signal bad news for everyone, however. CairnGorm Mountain said it has had its best Christmas holiday season in 14 years.
More than 15,000 skiers have used the resort since the start of December, compared with 2000 last year.
The cold weather comes despite the Met Office's long-range forecast, published in October, of a mild winter. That followed its earlier inaccurate prediction of a "barbecue summer", which was marked by heavy rainfall and the wettest July for almost 100 years.Paul Michaelwaite, forecaster for NetWeather.tv, said: "It is looking like this winter could be in the top 20 cold winters in the last 100 years.''
A fleet of gritters in Perth, central Scotland, was grounded because of the cold, leaving roads untreated in temperatures of minus 10 degrees.
Perth and Kinross Council said the gritters were unable to leave the depot after the extreme weather led to difficulties in refuelling.
Perth resident Ian Thomson said: "I've heard of the rail companies blaming the wrong kind of snow and leaves on the line for disruption, but for the council to say it was too cold to get the gritters out is just ridiculous."
See a pattern here TT? We are but bit players on planet Earth and the hubris astounds me! Arrogants by the likes of small minds like ALGORE and James Hanson at NASA make me confident that God himself has had enough of the deceit and has stepped in to put an end to the farce!

Jeb:
Its quite apparent to me that you insist upon being stupid.
You obviously didn't read what I wrote - because I specifically mentioned the British Isles as one area that was likely to suffer much more severe winters due to climate change. One reason theorized for this is a weakening of the Gulf Stream (again, something that I specifically mentioned) - but you insist on posting a (cut and paste) list of winter weather related news items, mentioning cold conditions in Scotland - a part of the British Isles. If that list is supposed to convince me that the climate is NOT changing, quite frankly you couldn't have chosen a worse set of news items.
I suggest you spend some time reading up on the Gulf Stream (http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2006/oct/27/science.climatechange), and how it effects the climate in northern Europe. To give you a little hint, even though Scotland is on roughly the same latitude as Alaska, it enjoys a generally mild climate.
TT having spent years on the gulf coast and doing a great deal of fishing in the gulf stream knowing how critical water temps are and using dietech machines to determine the exact temp and location I can also tell you that over the history of the world these things change on there own also. This huge blue marble we live on is basically a living breathing thing in it's own right. However I still suggest that man is but a speck and that natural changes in our planet such as volcano's and other such anomalies play 1000 times the effect that this thing we call man does. So go ahead and call me an idiot as well since I don't believe a single word out of any of the global warming, sorry I mean climate changers as they now have changed what they call themselves.

The Gulf Stream and other ocean currents certainly can change. But while the reasons for those changes may vary - be they the result of volcanic activity, sunspots, or whatever - they surely don't change for no reason.
Conservatives are making a huge mistake if they seize upon periodic reports of cold weather as "proof" that climate change is not occurring.
As I said, we may debate the extent to which man is responsible for the current rate of climate change. But to pretend that the global climate itself is not, in fact, changing strikes me as foolish in the extreme.
TT I'll go one step further for you. I do believe mankind's stay on this earth is coming to an end in the next hundred years but I don't believe it will be climate that will take man out. I believe man himself in his quest to prove how ignorant he is to the fact that man is still an animal will prove to be the ultimate demise of man. Right now we have people on this earth that would like nothing more than to kill massive numbers of humans even if it means laying waste to vast parts of the globe. Yet we have people in this country that still believe they can defeat this enemy with good taste and human rights. It is a naive approach which can only yield one final result. IMHO. Now you will excuse me if I don't hug a tree today.

No one says there isn't climate change. Not even the ultra right wingers. Man's ability to affect it for the worse or better by .0000005% is the issue. We can't and probably shouldn't.
As was stated by the head of NASA, who is to say what the "correct" climate is? What is beneficial for one country may be harmful to another and visa versa.

But to pretend that the global climate itself is not, in fact, changing strikes me as foolish in the extreme. The foolishness is that liberals have turned this into a coming global apocalypse, which they argue must be avoided by calling upon Americans, already massively indebted, to give insane amounts of their money mostly to primitive, undeveloped, largely uneducated, highly corrupt nations. Great idea! But, wait! Scientists who exist on this money stand up and declare it all an undeniable certainty! Prophets make motion pictures which feed us guilt! Proponents insist we are all responsible for the climate disaster, and demand we follow. Leaders harness the sentiment. Markets sell it. Nations press it against us competitively. The church of environmentalism preaches to us from all directions; we are to say 10 Hail Marys and 10 Our Fathers for our sins.
The wind just shifted from south to east; it's my fault, for driving an SUV instead of a Prius, and I must give $1,000 to a Nigerian to offset my crime. It's really ludicrous when you boil it down.
As the recent release of 1000's of documents from hoaxers show, we are using modeling based on weather patterns throughout weather reporting stations all over the globe. The problem is that in order to have the model predict what the hoaxers want they have left out certain reports from Russia and other artic reporting stations! In fact, they claimed that this weather station reporting has been lost! These are computer models TT, which means data is entered by humans! If the damn world is on the brink of catastrophic demise...you think we might keep up with the proof!:rofl

SEOUL, South Korea – Seoul residents slogged through the heaviest snowfall in modern Korean history after a winter storm dumped more than 11 inches (28 centimeters) Monday, forcing airports to cancel flights and paralyzing traffic in South Korea's bustling capital.
The snow and icy roads snarled traffic in and out of Seoul, and at least three people died in traffic accidents. Many commuters squeezed into packed subways to get to work, and a Cabinet meeting was delayed because ministers were stuck in traffic.
The snowfall, which continued through Monday afternoon, was the heaviest in a single day since Korea began conducting meteorological surveys in 1937, the state weather agency said.
Gimpo International Airport in western Seoul canceled 224 flights before resuming service Monday afternoon when the snowfall stopped, airport official Choi Choon-ja said.
More than 20 flights between Incheon International Airport, just west of Seoul, to cities in China also coping with snowfall were canceled. More than 100 flights to other regions were delayed, Incheon airport official Kang Soo-kyung said.
In southern South Korea, three people were killed in a traffic accident blamed on icy roads, according to the Yonhap news agency. However, officials said no deaths or serious property damage was directly related to the heavy snowfall.
About 3,600 workers and 5,000 soldiers were mobilized to clear the snow in Seoul and surrounding Gyeonggi Province, officials said.
The snow and freezing temperatures didn't stop 50-year-old Park Hee-soon from delivering milk and yogurt to homes and offices in western Seoul. However, Park — trudging through the streets in her regular yellow uniform — said the snow and ice were dangerous.
"I slipped on streets several times today, and my back hurts because of that," she said.
The snow forced American figure skater Michelle Kwan to cancel appearances in South Korea on Monday. The five-time world champion, visiting the country as goodwill ambassador for the U.S. State Department, had been slated to give a master class to South Korean figure skaters.
She is scheduled to meet with students, U.S. soldiers and participate in a Special Olympics event this week, U.S. Embassy officials said.
Beijing also was digging out Monday from a weekend winter storm.
More than 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) of snow accumulated in the city center Sunday, according to China's National Meteorological Center. State media called it the highest snowfall in the capital in a single day in January since 1951. Upward of 8 inches (20 centimeters) was recorded in the suburbs of Changping near the Great Wall of China.
Hundreds of flights from Beijing were canceled or delayed Sunday because of the snowfall.
Primary and middle schools were closed in Beijing and the nearby port of Tianjin, and with snow plows in short supply, more than 300,000 people were assigned to clear snow in the capital with shovels, scrapers and brooms.
Heavy snow also blanketed Sapporo on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, forcing the main airport to cancel nearly 80 flights since last Wednesday.
In South Korea, not everyone was complaining.
"It's something unique in Seoul," Kang Kyung-hye, a 58-year-old housewife, said after taking a photo of the snow-covered statue of 15th-century ruler King Sejong downtown.
Nearby, dozens of police in neon uniforms used shovels and shields to clear away the snow and helped push cars stuck in snowdrifts.

Hey UK where is the forecast for all the snow? Did you see it coming and are you ready for years of it! All the greenies have frozen weenies!:rofl

Britain braced for heaviest snowfall in 50-years
The heaviest snowfall in almost 50 years is hitting parts of Britain as Arctic weather brought nationwide chaos.
Heavy snow wreaks havoc across much of the UK
As the country was plunged into one of its worst winters for decades, the Met Office issued an emergency weather warning for all counties of the UK.
The South, including London and the Home Counties, were expected to bear the brunt of the snowfall with emergency services warning they are already struggling to cope with the increasingly bitter conditions.
Cold weather 'will mean higher household energy bills'
Heavy snow forces hundreds of schools to close Forecasters predicted that more than one foot of snow could fall in less than 24 hours in most southern areas leading to widespread chaos and disruption for millions.
The residents of Hampshire and Wiltshire were expected to be the worst hit, with as much as 16 inches likely to be dumped by the end of tomorrow.
Residents and commuters in London, which ground to a halt last February following heavy falls, were warned to expect a covering of several inches by the morning rush hour.
On the roads drivers were advised not to venture out unless their journey was absolutely essential, as councils warned they could run out of grit if the conditions failed to improve.
The Met Office claimed the amount of snow forecast could be the biggest single fall since the notorious winter of 1962-63, when some areas of the country were blighted by snow and ice for more than three months.
During that winter the south saw more than a foot of snow, while blizzards in some parts of Wales led to drifts of over 18 feet.
A Met Office spokesman said they had issued a so-called "flash warning" because of the substantial quantity of snow which was expected to fall across the south in a short period of time.
The spokesman said: "This kind of warning is very rare. It's the level of alert we put out for the floods in the Summer of 2007."
Forecasters have warned of little respite over the next week as freezing temperatures will continue to grip Britain.
Yesterday up to eight inches of snow fell in parts of the country. It brought chaos to schools, businesses and the transport networks.
Scores of rail services and flights were cancelled as temperatures struggled to get above freezing. The overnight temperature on Dartmoor in Devon fell to minus 9 on Monday night.
More than 1,000 schools were closed across Scotland, the north of England and Wales.
Police, fire and ambulance services were preparing to put into place contingency plans in order to maintain their operations through the worst of the weather.
In some hard-hit areas however emergency services admitted they were losing the battle against the bad weather.
The Manchester Constabulary issued a plea to the public to only dial 999 where there was a life threatening emergency or a crime was taking place.
And the North West Ambulance Service also declared a major incident due to the weather.
A spokesman for the service said: "We are unlikely to be able to reach patients with minor injuries or symptoms. We are having to stringently prioritise all of our 999 calls and dispatch our resources to life-threatening cases only. We would like to stress the urgency for people to stay indoors unless it is absolutely necessary.
"The driving conditions are extremely hazardous and we would like to ensure that the risk of injury on the roads is reduced as much as possible."
Ambulance services across the south were monitoring the worsening weather situation with some turning to 4x4 all terrain vehicles in order to reach patients.
South Central Ambulance Service which covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire was last night contacting staff to ask them if they can stay overnight near their ambulance stations.
In London many ambulances were also fitted with special equipment which provide extra grip for tyres in slippery conditions.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the Government and all the services were doing everything possible to keep the country moving throughout the worsening weather.
He said: "The weather is taking a turn for the worse. We are doing everything possible to keep disruption to a minimum. The Highways Agency has kept the vast majority of major road networks running. We are in close contact with local authorities and it is a situation we will keep a very close eye on."
There were also fears that gas supplies could begin to run low if the icy conditions continue for sometime as forecasters have predicted.
Figures obtained by the Conservatives suggested under the current levels of usage, supplies would only last for another week.
Major sporting fixtures also fell victim to the weather with both Carling Cup semi final football matches between Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa and Manchester City and Manchester United, postponed.
Elsewhere supermarkets reported a surge in panic-buying as shoppers tied to stockpile food supplies.

Is it not obvious that people are freezing to death and nations running out fuel, salt and sand stockpiles as well as not having the trucks, snowplows and staff to save their own lives because they did not prepare for colder weather do to the world-wide hoax of global warming? We are scared to death here in Florida every year by global warming alarmist that tell us that more dangerous hurricanes are coming, and then when for 3 straight years they don't...they say don't be fooled by they lack of any storms! Now, people are dying by the thousands all over the world...not just here in America...and it is just of blip to be ignored! Kiss my frozen Florida Ass!:rofl

LOL, I did just hear that China hasn't seen a winter like this in 40 years. Oh but the climate change people say that even though the temperature is getting cooler that we are seeing twice as many heat records vs cold records. Well those boys haven't been here in Texas that's for sure. Last summer was one of the coolest I can remember and I can't think of one in 20 years as hot as it was in 79 and 80. In 1980 we had like 65 days over 100 degrees straight. Again all this is a scam to make a few people rich and keep a bunch of scientist employed making lies.

And THAT, is the TRUTH!
The mini ice age starts here

The bitter winter afflicting much of the Northern Hemisphere is only the start of a global trend towards cooler weather that is likely to last for 20 or 30 years, say some of the world’s most eminent climate scientists.
Their predictions – based on an analysis of natural cycles in water temperatures in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans – challenge some of the global warming orthodoxy’s most deeply cherished beliefs, such as the claim that the North Pole will be free of ice in
summer by 2013.
According to the US National Snow and Ice Data Centre in Colorado, Arctic summer sea ice has increased by 409,000 square miles, or 26 per cent, since 2007 – and even the most committed global warming activists do not dispute this.
The scientists’ predictions also undermine the standard climate computer models, which assert that the warming of the Earth since 1900 has been driven solely by man-made greenhouse gas emissions and will continue as long as carbon dioxide levels rise.
They say that their research shows that much of the warming was caused by oceanic cycles when they were in a ‘warm mode’ as opposed to the present ‘cold mode’.
This challenge to the widespread view that the planet is on the brink of an irreversible catastrophe is all the greater because the scientists could never be described as global warming ‘deniers’ or sceptics.
However, both main British political parties continue to insist that the world is facing imminent disaster without drastic cuts in CO2.
This image of the UK taken from NASA's multi-national Terra satellite on Thursday shows the extent of the freezing weather
Last week, as Britain froze, Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband maintained in a parliamentary answer that the science of global warming was ‘settled’.
Among the most prominent of the scientists is Professor Mojib Latif, a leading member of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which has been pushing the issue of man-made global warming on to the international political agenda since it was formed 22 years ago.
Prof Latif, who leads a research team at the renowned Leibniz Institute at Germany’s Kiel University, has developed new methods for measuring ocean temperatures 3,000ft beneath the surface, where the cooling and warming cycles start.
He and his colleagues predicted the new cooling trend in a paper published in 2008 and warned of it again at an IPCC conference in Geneva last September.
Last night he told The Mail on Sunday: ‘A significant share of the warming we saw from 1980 to 2000 and at earlier periods in the 20th Century was due to these cycles – perhaps as much as 50 per cent.
'They have now gone into reverse, so winters like this one will become much more likely. Summers will also probably be cooler, and all this may well last two decades or longer.
‘The extreme retreats that we have seen in glaciers and sea ice will come to a halt. For the time being, global warming has paused, and there may well be some cooling.’
As Europe, Asia and North America froze last week, conventional wisdom insisted that this was merely a ‘blip’ of no long-term significance.
Though record lows were experienced as far south as Cuba, where the daily maximum on beaches normally used for winter bathing was just 4.5C, the BBC assured viewers that the big chill was merely short-term ‘weather’ that had nothing to do with ‘climate’, which was still warming.
The work of Prof Latif and the other scientists refutes that view.
On the one hand, it is true that the current freeze is the product of the ‘Arctic oscillation’ – a weather pattern that sees the development of huge ‘blocking’ areas of high pressure in northern latitudes, driving polar winds far to the south.
Meteorologists say that this is at its strongest for at least 60 years.
As a result, the jetstream – the high-altitude wind that circles the globe from west to east and normally pushes a series of wet but mild Atlantic lows across Britain – is currently running not over the English Channel but the Strait of Gibraltar.
GLOBAL COOLING IS HERE TT/G
