You're preaching to a predominantly Republican clientel.
I was raised in a Democrat household and have leanings in that direction but Obama just doesn't have any substance. Smooth talker but there nothing there.

Over the last 2 days, I've seen Engles (far left wing), mycar (seems to be right of center), and jaco (unknown)... this board is pretty quiet.

Nan-noo, nan-noo.

I guess you are too young to remember Mork & Mindy. Situation comedy with Robin Williams as an alien living with Pam Dawber. Shazbat was his "curse word". "Calling Orson" was how he contacted his boss to report in.

Or do you mean - who is he on 1130cc, in that case, I have no idea.

I am here representing ACORN and demand that you allow me to vote 2 million more times.

no i meant who is preaching to the chior i understand your want for privacy on your political views. kinda wish i would have changed my name but doesnt matter

I'm pretty much a WYSIWYG kind of guy. Several 1130cc members know me in person. I won't cram my political views down anyone's throat. I enjoy a spirited debate with semi-intelligent conversationalists. If someone wants to remain anonymous here, it's fine by me. Seems strange that in a political forum you would choose to not be known, but everyone has their reasons.

It wasn't an issue of "the names have been changed to protect the innocent" as there are none here.
It was an expression of frustration with what I felt the current administration was doing.
"Shazbat" or other expression of "fuck", "shit", "piss", "damn" or whatever else you think it might means, "calling Orson" as an expression of "Help me Mr. Wizard" or rather help us all.

Sort of a "Beam me up Scotty, there's no intelligent life here"?

Amen, I still feel that way. And if Obama is elected, as I feel he may be, I'll feel even more that way.

Man No Obama Votes Yet Whats Up?

Like I said elsewhere, the original group here intimidated the liberals.
It's too bad as there were many on 1130 who had strong opinions and could express themselves.

I've posted it here before but will lay it out again for present company.
I, in general, consider myself reasonably liberal on social issues, moderate on fiscal issues and conservative on military and national security issues.
I believe all those stances can be justified on case by case merits.
As stated earlier I was raised in a blue collar hardcore Democrat background and still hold many of those ideals as they apply to social and individual freedoms.
Most true liberals consider me too much the "hawk" because I believe we need to have a strong and ready Army and in our right own and bear firearms. It has historically been shown way too many times what happens to nations that take away the rights of citizens to defend themselves, their families and property.
As time and I have progressed I find myself fitting the libertarian label more often as I think local and state authorities should do the major part of governance and the federal should stay out of my personal business and give the nation a stable environment in which to grow.
I see Bob Barr's candidacy though as sour milk. A former hardcore republican making a statement because he thinks McCain too liberal for his personal taste.

Can't be any worst than that last 8 years of being lied to about to war and death and injury of a bunch of great troop. Tax money sent Halliburton through Dick. We could get into all the GOP who are indited or sent to jail. I believe its the most in our history.

I don't have to know a person personal or by name to feel bad for what they are going through. I feel for their family and friends, its sad.

see how can you honestly sit there and say that our troops dont like what we are doing. if you listen to the troops and not the press you would see they are happy to see how far they have brought the people of iraq and afganistan (although we are starting to lose a little bit of our footing there we still helped those people). and if you still dont believe me look at what they were projecting the military vote to be it was a land slide mccain's way. the realize if they pull out to soon they justhelped in killing people only to have there country collapse back into what it was before we lost the 5k people trying to save there lives.

my bad on getting so bent out of shape that is a huge hot button for me
