On this AM's local news which seems to be clueless to the economy and goes out of it's way to Kiss Barry's a$$ they reported how good things are getting. Of course that was followed by a major hotel filing bankruptcy, Dallas city counsel looking at a huge deficit as tax dollars are down by 25%, the local long time paper that Jeannie worked for announced giving up another 48 jobs. Oh but things are just fricken peachy keen. The next story they had was how Barry is going to be able to cram health care down our throats and they are so looking forward to it. If it weren't for traffic and weather I would never turn them on. As soon as I get those two things I switch to CNN or Fox and yes I watch them both a little to compare the stories. I still believe the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Just heard that this weeks jobless claims were 444k. That's 11k more then expected. Just another sign of how good the recovery and stimulus are doing. :rofl

Jobs fall, sales for Dec lower then expected. Just more of the recovery numbers.

Your right Max! I see it every single day! I had to help cover the front desk at the Employment Services Office Monday and Tuesday and it was one serious and sad fact! People are flooding in to apply for UC, Food Stamps, Welfare, free phones and free money to go to school. The people applying for food stamps in droves!! It always amazes me how people place their priorities...as they ask for the food stamps they seem to have to take several smoke breaks and have time to show their new tattoo or answer their cell phone! I mean, everyone on assistance has a cell phone and a pack of smokes! And on Friday we are pretty much a ghost town as people have to get the party supplys for the weekend! :rofl
