As much as they have tried to blame others, the Democrats own 2009.

During 2009 the Democrats blew over a million taxpayer dollars to attend the climate change conference in Copenhagen, with the hope of committing billions more American dollars to lesser-achieved nations.

In 2009 the party in power, the Democrats, funded and made executive decisions for US automakers, who were driven into bankruptcy by corrupt labor unions, strong supporters of the Democrats. The Democrats also funded and made executive decisions for US banks, who were troubled by bad loans our government insisted they make. And don't forget the Democrats exhibited this same controlling interest in the insurance industry.

They had planned to push through a massive health care "reform" package whether we wanted it or not. This "reform" was simply another power grab. Thank goodness that disaster has been averted. At the last moment. For the time being. They still want it, and they will still try to get it.

Remember that, in 2009, Barack Obama gave audience to Hugo Chavez, a disgusting dictator. He smiled while accepting his gift from this socialist tyrant - a book which, of course, blames America. In the Middle East - a part of the world where bowing indicates submission and acknowledgment that the person being bowed to is the master - Obama bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. To complete his submissive circle of the globe, he later bowed especially low to Emperor Akihito of Japan.

In speeches around the world, Obama apologized for us all. Almost the day he was inaugurated, Obama published in Al Arabiya, "We sometimes make mistakes. We have not been perfect." In Trinidad and Tobago (South America), he said, "we have at times been disengaged, and at times we sought to dictate our terms." From Europe he said, “In America, there is a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world... Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.” Obama made numerous other derogatory and submissive remarks about our nation - most within the first couple months of his taking office.

In 2009, President Obama said Sgt. James Crowley and the Cambridge, MA police "acted stupidly" when they arrested the racist, unaccountable professor Gates (a good friend of Obama's).

There are, simply, too many harmful, ignorant, destructive, and power-seeking actions Obama and the Democratic Party have taken in only his first year of office. I can't list them all here, but many were discussed on this forum.

Now his poll numbers are down. His party has lost their super-majority, and they are scrambling frantically to rephrase their propaganda for fear of losing even more power.

There are massive cracks in the wall. After one year, the real Democrat agenda is exposed, and Americans are finding it visibly repulsive.

But make no mistake - I think the Democrats will use every play in their book to attempt to regain as much control as possible, in order to implement as many irreversible programs, provide as many handouts, to seize as much power as they can, while they can. Americans are increasingly aware that their playbook includes dominance over the mainstream media and the propaganda it emits. But the Democrats also have the educational system, Hollywood, and the anti-US sentiment of a world largely steeped in material envy. All of these plays will be used to smother us in messages of guilt, remorse, duty, and other feelings - whatever it takes to get Americans to continue selling our future.

Excellent summary...hit every nail right on the head; and I could not agree more with your statement above. Guarding against those plays will require constant vigilence.

Excellent nelson. Whoever is doing the republican rebutal to the state of the union could do well just by using your summary.
