Rush was talking about. He suggested asking those being polled whether they paid taxes or not. You can figure how those results would come out.

They are making headway toward indoctrinating the pop. The sad fact is most of the text books speak very favorably of the fairness of Marxism! Spreading class envy and diluting freedom is the true goal of the NEA!

At the present pace, in 10 years the same poll will produce results that are even more startling. Over time, many attitudes soften, and the media/Hollywood/government propaganda infects/affects people. The newest generations seem to be peppered with a very conscious minority, then there are the masses who are complacent and ignorant. We simply don't know how bad socialism is. Here on the forums we understand this - but it's impossible to explain to someone, really. They would have to see the results of socialism with a clear mind to truly understand what it is doing to us right now, and where it will leave us.

Unfortunately memories of the old soviet union and its failed system are unfamiliar to younger generations. The European model of socialism is somehow glorified by this country's liberal elite. Poor healthcare, productivity, and labor issues are not reported.

Interesting poll synseer. The results don't surprise me.
The "Robinhood" perspective of socialism has always sounded great to those who lack the challange, drive, and enthusiaism for the opportunity to turn their own dreams of a respectful and accomplished existence into reality. Unfortunately, for those who embrace socialism, those people always realize too late that what they had embraced was a system with slave masters in which they are chained, and dictated to on how they must live, and which a decent accomplished life is an inprobability at best. Whether short memories of historical and present socialism disasters around the world is the reason or not begs the question: Other then those who scheme and strive for power over their fellow man, and the vast wealth born from such power inticing them, what in the world prompts any moderately rational soul to fight for and welcome such a destructive and demeaning existence?

Someone should do a docudrama of the post-communist fall of Russia and let the world see the real endgame of socialism!

Here's the short version of the docudram Jeb.

Poverty, drunkeness, corruption, and government sanctioned murder.

There would be lots of material to really use the left's tactic with photos and the sad music like they use with starving children or the poor mistreated pets!

No doubt about it. Many of the producers of such a project would experience an early death before it's completed though. The Russian government is as ruthless and barbaric as the chinese government.

It would be very possible to make such a film.

Russia is the obvious choice. I can tell you with authority that the most popular, best-maintained tourist spots in Russia are absolute dumps in comparison to what we here in the USA take for granted in our own neighborhoods. Even worse, visitors from America will discover a Russian culture that is nothing short of despicable. I went there with an open heart, but what I saw profoundly impacted me. It's impossible to describe. So much ruin. I couldn't believe it. Not just the infrastructure. The worst part is the people.

I don't know how to explain it without writing a book. Culturally, Russians are almost the polar opposite of westerners. Over generations, we (westerners) have inherited the psyche of a successful people - we are so confident of our greatness that today, self-deprecation is what we consider humor. But in Russia, time and time again, over generations, the opposite has been revealed. The psyche of the typical Russian is therefore entirely different. It is a constant state of denial, a hyper-emotional existence, clinging to any shred of pride that can be found, even generating such pride from nowhere, in order to maintain the outward image or semblance of success. Image, therefore, becomes everything, because the reality is just ugly. Self-deprecation is not funny to a Russian; it is akin to a nightmare, they feel exposed by it. The disparity between us is so obvious that an intelligent westerner who visits Russia, or almost any former Soviet territory, will feel as though he is interacting with children. They are easy to figure out, but the adjustment to them takes time, chiefly because it is so hard for the typical westerner to finally grasp that an entire culture actually lives like this every day.

But here's the ugly secret: most of Europe is not much better off. European infrastructure is crumbling as well. European mindset is not as defeated as that of the Russians, since Europe is defined by its venerable history. But this greatness has long passed, and today the continent is sliding into obscurity, and they recognize this. The strength and collectivity of European denial demonstrates exactly how clearly they all recognize the decline. Today only a couple nations remain lucid, confident, with the UK closest to us, only slightly more progressed than America in the global movement toward mediocrity.

All of this is my personal opinion based only on my observations. I am no expert. I am not even a world traveler. I wish I had focused more on capturing images of what we Americans do not want to be.

The irony is, of course, that our overconfidence is our downfall - we leave ourselves open to attack. Meanwhile, this world of constant fear and suspicion, in which so many other nations live, actually strengthens their defenses.

Excellent analysis. Can someone please explain to me why BHO and his Liberal buddies hold Europe in such high regard and want us to move in that direction?

If you're looking for legitimate rational explanations, they don't exist.

Irrational explanations are that they hate America and our capitalistic system, and that they also are blinded by ignorance, along with being common thieves who work to steal from America's citizens under the claim of fairness for others, all while enriching themselves and their supporters coffers. It's the great train robbery reinvented, but this time they are destroying the train.

Promoting their favorable impression of Europe is simply a distraction and muse to help in their scheme.
