Yeah, I'm kinda close to the action, was gettin phone calls before it was big news. I go by that place every day, and it's about 5-10 minutes away from my work, and home...about midway between.

Oh great, now my taxes are sure to be screwed since I mailed them off to that building early this month. :rofl

Internal news indicates 18 staff not accounted for, praying these folks were not in the building!

This was the work of a long standing tortured individual, protesting the system.

I'm glad the guy didn't use a bigger plane, and I pray no innocent people were lost.

Of 199 folks in that post of duty, nearly 60 are my fellow revenue officers, these folks are on the internal front lines of danger that speak of frequently.

If you knowingly commit suicide in the process of making your statement, instead of living to deal with the consequences...you're not a fighter, you're a coward.

So........ if I read you correctly, if the guy would have sent in a remote controlled drone, and lived to face the music, that would be acceptable? I disagree, because this guy went after the wrong target. The IRS simply carries out the instructions of the government that sets policy yes? Now, if the government starts acting like the British of the 18th century, well then, would that change things?

Our founding fathers, and the patriots who followed them spilled the blood of their enemies, along with themselves. If our founding fathers would have been defeated by the British, they would have been labeled as insurgents, or terrorists, or whatever the term of the day was at that time.

Our founders believed the cause for liberty and freedom worthy to risk imprisonment or death. They also understood very well how tyranny would again rare its ugly head in the future. They spoke vastly about the sacrifices that would be needed occasionally throughout history to hold on to that precious liberty and freedom.

You can believe that there will come a time in America when the people realize that voting alone isn't enough to maintain their freedoms. That time is closer now then ever in America's history. The question we might very well witness answered is if freedom loving Americans possess the same spirit and determination as our founding fathers did, when the time arises where tyranny must again be met head on.

Nope, you've read it incorrectly...or I portrayed it incorrectly...Which has been proven not to work, case and point: Timothy McVeigh.

bad thing is some people stand behind what he did

My statement was aimed at people trying to call this guy a fighter, he's not a fighter.

I agree with what you say, as I posted here:

Local news pointed out, that the IRS Employee that got killed was stated as a father of 6 and "one of the nicest people you'll ever meet"

He took his frustrations out on people that are just doing their jobs, not the people that make the rules...as far as I know.

He hit the wrong target, and in the wrong manner to be labeled as a "fighter".

We are coming to a point where voting is not enough, if we're not there already, but the statements need to be made correctly, hitting the correct targets, to have the correct responses. Domestic terrorism is not the answer, has never been the answer, and it never will be.

He's not a fighter, he's a terrorist and a coward.

I think we both misinterpreted somewhat. I didn't mean to imply that you supported the guy but didn't support his tactics.

This does bring us to a topic that most avoid though. If voting ends up not being enough, then what's the alternative? To stand down and be controlled by an over reaching radical government as our rights and privileges are systematically dismantled? If not that, than what?

What our founding fathers did, rise against the tyranny of British rule. However I don't recall them ever attacking innocent civilians in the process.

Killing innocent civilians denigrates you into a villain, and a murderer, empowering the government, as the local citizens cry out to them for protection.

Our problem is, I believe we are in the minority, as proven in the last election, it appears the general US populace wants to give the government more control, luckily, most of those people are opposed to fighting and would probably just surrender.

Education, nowadays appears to be conditioning our youth into believing the government should take care of them, what they aren't being taught, is that sense of "entitlement" only "entitles" the government into controlling our lives. The media is on the side of government control as well.

We'll see, come November, just what the American people actually want. A revolt is only going to be successful, if it's what the majority of the people want.

So in the end, it appears that standing down and letting the masses have exactly what they want, until they realize that they've chosen wrong, is our only viable option. All we can only really hope for, is local governments taking a stand against the Federal Government, and support them. It has to start at the local level, you have to have the support of your local populace.

Our country was founded upon the backs of local militias, but our current Federal government is strongly opposed to local militias, for that exact reason.

That's just my .02

No sane person will advocate killing innocent people. That's a given. But you must remember there have been instances where even our government has crushed and killed innocent Americans because of what they deemed were radical beliefs of a few. Ruby ridge, waco comes to mind. Point is, as well intended as some states may end up being in combating an overreaching government, I find that glass half empty. Power, influence, money, and corruption in the fed is embedded deeply. Those interests won't relinquish such power willingly imho.

That being said, and if the country keeps moving to the radical left, I think we'll find that even the epitome of the sane will have their limits.

The fact remains, there's an abundance of damaging obama agendas that needs to be defeated before November's elections.

Motive,

I agree pretty much with what your say!

I have not lost faith in the tools & responsibility that the founding fathers of our country gave us, Individual Responsibility to appoint the Representatives.

If ~~WE~~ get off our freekin lazy asses (I say this collectively) educate ourselves about the issues and elect those who can support the basic precepts that make our country great then we can salvage the destruction that is threatening us today.

my comment above about people supporting him was not pointed at anyone here, but at another organization that i am quickly distancing myself from.

our founding father did do stuff like this, the did all sorts of massed up stuff to tax collectors. one good example is they poured boiling tea down one guys throat only to tar and feather him afterwards. as far as killing them i dunno im sure there was some but its hard for me to point them out.

but i stand by my first comment this guy is a coward.
