Obama's answer to republicans at today's health summit was obvious.

(R) Lamar Alexander with his opening statement did represent how the majority of Americans feel about obama's health plan. Obama however, showed he wasn't interested in how the majority of Americans feel.
One only need have watched the first half of this summit to see it's simply another obama sham.

Although this obama sham probably isn't working as well as obama and his cronies would have liked.... (because republicans came prepared)

It would appear Tyranny is Coming To Capital Hill soon as the democrats are salivating at the chance to pull the nuclear option lever to transform America into cuba with obamacare.

I don't know how many of you got to watch the end of the summit. It was a political game by the president. At the end he announced either the republicans get on board with his plan or the dems were going to pass it alone. Meaning reconciliation from what I could gather. The whole summit was a pony show for the president.

If I was John McCain I would have walked out with the condescending tone BHO directed to him. Same for the other Republicans who were dissed. There was really nothing to talk about when they refused to take the nuclear option off the table.

I didn't see the end of this sham Max, but hearing the president added the above arrogant and condescending remarks, I'm sure doesn't surprise anyone.

This unconstitutional takeover of America by a handful of radicals is extremely bad news for the country. They are indeed a dangerous group representing everything America doesn't stand for.

I could add that the dems controlling the speaking time by 2 to 1 was good as America was able to witness the democrat's hubris. But then I remembered, Obama and the democrats could care less about what Americans see, think, or desire.

I watched and actually think the Rep. did damn good job of using his own words against him on reconciliation. Cantor, Alexander and others actually did a good job. I did not hear a bunch of bipartisan garbage like I thought they would do...so I think we came out better than BHO did! I predict polls will show this as well!

Excellent point!

The Republicans didn't hold back at all from what I saw.
They outlined very well why several pieces of this legislation
are bad for America. I think they did a very good job of showing that this
bill is not only socialism, but that it will devastate our health care system, America's financial stability, and hand over to the government more control of American's lives.

The so called health exchanges in obama's bill act as the needed infrastructure for an eventual conversion to a complete government takeover, which is obama's true goal.

I thought the GOP presented a much better case against cost and reality and the Dems only response was the CBO scored it, so it must be right. It was hard to watch.

I have this unique ability everytime a Dem would get the floor...I hit the mute buttom and surfed this forum.

It was hard to watch how the dems ludicrously countered the facts presented by republicans.

You heard Biden suggest that it was arrogant of republicans to say they knew what Americans wanted.

Obama pulled his "I'm the president" BS again.

But mostly, it was obama saying the republicans were wrong on every single point that they disputed of obama's plan..

The most insane part of the summit was looking at obama's lying eyes that showed that it didn't matter what the republicans did or said. The decision was already made that the radicals were going nuclear. Obama himself knew the summit was a pure deception, and a scheme where no positive outcome could occur. Only the most devious of liars could conduct such a summit with a straight face.

As most know, the Obamacare fix was in before this summit began.

"Despite giving his side all the advantages, most commentators agree that Republicans held their own or even carried the day. CNN’s David Gergen proclaimed that Republicans “had their best day in years.”

A key moment was when Obama—arguing passionately with Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN)–claimed his plan would reduce the cost of private health insurance, and then the President was forced publicly to back down from that claim.

As media such as the Daily Caller reported:

Later in the session, after an aide handed the president a note, Obama admitted he had been wrong: ‘What the Congressional Budget Office is saying is, is that if I now have the opportunity to actually buy a decent package inside the exchange, that costs me about 10% to 13% more but is actually real insurance, then there are going to be a bunch of people who take advantage of that. So yes, I’m paying 10% to 13% more because instead of buying an apple, I’m getting an orange.’"

What would have made sense is if the idiot had said: "I'm making millions of Americans buy government apple trees, but the orchard isn't big enough to handle all the extra trees, so a whole lot of them are going to rot, and die while waiting to be watered.

What makes this situation so dangerous, is these incompetent people are moving forward with this America destroying disaster called obamacare.

It is a no win situation all the way around! But, if you really read this bill and look at all the polls on this plan, only 26% of the population want this plan.

Why should it be such a big deal that the Republicans did well? They had truth, the facts and the American people on their side. Isn't it funny that the msm has lowered expectations for the Reps so low when it is the Dems who have been fumbling the ball for the past year?
