"Special Report's Bret Baier will interview President Obama on Wednesday in an exclusive conversation scheduled just days ahead of the House of Representative’s critical vote on landmark health care legislation."

Heard about this the other day; several folks on the evening political talk shows have speculated as to why BO has agreed to be interviewed on the very news channel he and his administration attempted to de-legitimize. Not to mention he's been talking smack about them from day one. Some say it has to do with the number of viewers Fox has compared to other stations. How about it? What do you think?

You know the president has been practicing side stepping and changing the subject for days.

He has heard the revolt and wishes to respond. He's now had sufficient time to compose his rhetoric, and he wants to appeal to the masses who clearly oppose him. He will insist that his proposals are the best solutions. He will probably again try to humanize the socialization of health care, in attempt to appeal to our emotions, because this strategy has worked for him his entire career. He will say things that may sound a little conservative, because he knows a much smaller proportion of the audience is faithfully Obama-brainwashed. He will not be challenged enough by the interviewer because every topic of discussion and the pool of possible questions have all been agreed-to before hand. In the end I think he will come across sounding arrogant and do himself more harm than good. Because he always does!

Fox has acqired a massive number of disgruntled moderate swing voters in its audience. He probably is reaching ou to them. Conservatives are a lost cause for him and his party.

Let us know how it turns out. I simply don't have the stomach to watch him.

Brit Hume gave Bret his interpretation of the interview; said Brett did as good a job as possible but that BO clearly made efforts to not answer direct questions on healthcare.

This panel that Brett has on tonight has provided various perspectives on the interview. Krauthammer, Stoddard, Jason something from the Weekly Standard, and Juan Williams from NPR all basically said BHO was not running his "A" game. Stoddard and one of the others said he was on the defensive several times; defaulting to his own talking points to avoid answering the questions; clearly misrepresenting Republican efforts to influence the current bill and/or the alternatives they provided.

Transcipt of the interview available here: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,589589,00.html

Overall I think Brett did a great job. Several times over he asked BHO direct questions and kept at him to get straight answer but BHO continued to play defense and either dodge the question or responded with a non-answer of some type. If BHO intended to sway folks in the middle, disgruntled dems or independents, it is my perception that he failed miserably on that. Nothing he said was even mildly remarkable or noteworthy in a productive way.

I think Bret did a great job considering. I knew going in the President would look to take the mic and simply talk and I think it took courage on the part of Bret to keep taking the mic back.

I agree, Jeb. He was also nasty with Bret, who is probably one of the nicest newsmen out there, plus BHO displayed his usual arrogance. Whatever his motives for appearing, don't think he accomplished anything for his side.

Funny how the MSM have spun this to be that Bret was being mean to BHO. BHO answered none of Bret's questions -- just spewed his talking points. They ought to go back and look at how GWB, RMN, etc. were handled by the MSM in interviews.

I chuckled when I read this (but then I do have a sick sense of humor):

The Postal Services created a stamp with a picture of President Obama on it. The Postal Service noticed that the stamp was not sticking to envelopes. This enraged the President, who demanded a full investigation. After a month of testing and $1.73 million in congressional spending, a special Presidential commission presented the following findings:

1.The stamp is in perfect order.
2.There is nothing wrong with the glue.
3. People are spitting on the wrong side.
