Actually its hard to keep liberals engaged in a civil debate. When you're defending an untenable position, ad hominem attacks quickly become your only recourse.

Actually its hard to keep liberals engaged in a civil debate. When you're defending an untenable position, ad hominem attacks quickly become your only recourse.

Ain't that the truth. Start off with a civil discussion and once logic and common sense are presented, the Libs tend to turn personal. Or they change the subject or resort to some talking point like, "It is Bush's fault". DanV is the exception to this rule -- but he isn't really a Liberal, just thinks he is.:)
