Anyone notice the Wikipedia shake-up?
People have been referring to Wikipedia as some sort of defacto source for information for quite some time. And in some aspects the site has proven to be a great resource. But politically it's packed full of liberal groupthink revisionism. Everyone knows this, and tolerates it.
I never knew that it's also packed full of porn.
After this story had spread for a week or so, the founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales, rightly fearing he could lose some of his gravy train after all this bad publicity, began furiously deleting some of the porn from Wikipedia servers. (Apparently there's a great deal of it. Some of it's classified as child porn.)
Well, this action caused an uproar among the Wikipedia "organization" of content editors and admins. After all, they were losing their porn! They went behind Wales and restored much of the deleted porn.
Some big corporate donors started calling. "What's this about porn?"
But the loosely-knit content "staff" at Wikipedia shouldn't have to sacrifice the open, pure "spirit" of Wikipedia just for some evil corporations! Wikipedia board members, admins, and editors clutched their porn tightly, and fought hard in listserve discussions against the founder and his foul corporate-type money bags!

The drama continues. I find it interesting because it exposes the truth about just one of many liberal revisionist tools.
