Can you believe it -- Slick Willie was the bagman in the Stestak bribery scandal? This thing is bad -- however you interpret it. There was a level of bribery which boggles the mind. Who cares if the job was paid or not -- the intent was the same. However, a number of analysts think that there may have been two separate approaches made to Sestak -- Clinton's for the "advisory" position and Emmanuel for a high level job (secretary of Navy?) It is interesting to watch the coverup unfold. Politicians never learn that the coverup is worse than the scandal which prompted it.

Here's Uncle Dick's read on the situation with an interesting solution to get around the Dem Justice Department's stonewalling:

SESTAK SCANDAL GROWS...AND STILL STINKS

By DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN

Published on DickMorris.com on May 28, 2010

The New York Times revealed this afternoon that anonymous sources have informed it that Obama's chief of staff Rahm Emanuel asked former President Bill Clinton to offer Congressman Joe Sestak a high but unpaid advisory post in the Administration if he would drop out of the Senate race against Senator Arlen Specter. One post mentioned was service on the President's Intelligence Advisory Board.

The idea was to immunize Obama and Rahm from possible criminal prosecution by using Clinton, not a government employee, as a cut out and to keep the offer to an unpaid job in hopes of not running afoul of the federal bribery statute.

But these evasions will not blunt the force of the law. If Clinton acted at Emanuel's request, he was Rahm's agent and the Chief of Staff is still on the hook. And, an unpaid position is still "something of value" within the meaning of the bribery statute which prohibits the offering of something of value in return for a vote.

And, remember why they wanted Sestak out of the race. The White House needed Specter's vote to kill filibusters and could only get it if he would switch parties, a move he conditioned on getting Sestak to drop out and assure him a clear field for the nomination of his new party. So the bribe offer to Sestak was made by an agent of a government employee, it involved something of value, and it was to procure a vote in the Senate -- all the elements needed for a felony to have taken place.

In a previous column (read it at DickMorris.com) Dick and Fox News Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano suggest that Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett, now the Republican nominee for Governor, should empanel a grand jury to get to the bottom of this affair. Today's revelation makes this ever more urgent.

This is truly amazing scandal. And Rem I so agree - the coverup is worse! Clearly we have Chicago criminals in our federal government, they're unaccountable and operating like it's the mafia. Morris is right, Clinton was acting as Rahm's agent, and really an agent of Obama, although we all know Obama is untouchable. I just can't get any more disgusted with all this.

On Fox News Sunday, PA Gov Ed Rendell admitted he did the same thing. A sitting gov admitted to a FELONY on national TV... anyone going to do anything about it?

The MSM is spinning it's little heart out trying to make this an "everybody does it"..."depends on what "IT" means" moment! Because of Rush and the other Radio talkers, FNC, Drudge, and the internet media, this has stayed on the front burner even though their playbook is in full force including the late evening holiday Friday document dump technique! This is how Chicago Dems roll and that part is not new. But, to use Bubba as the escape clause because he is not directly in the administration, want fly simply because he got away with it with Torecelli and other High crimes and misdemeanors, including suborning perjury and perjury! The real story is not throw the bums out either...it is a conservative ascendency and just as with the 2 Reagan landslides and later the "Contract with America", moderates and liberals, (which are all progressives) are in big trouble with the no longer silent majority! Tea Party baby! We are tired of this redistribution and blame America, Hope and Change!

I know Taxman! We are moving toward a historic election where the sitting Presidents party is going to have massive losses at the 2 year mark for his administraion! They are truly going to step up their influence in ways that entrench them and damage our nation. We will see a cleaning house of progressives and liberals cause the bums got to go!
