If you can't deal with satire, then you've got a problem. I thoroughly enjoy political cartoons jabbing at GW... this is pretty funny, IMO. True? I doubt it.

It's funny, but yet it may be all too true.
The mantra of Russia was "they pretend to pay us and we pretend to work".
The "universal" health care (passed by a RINO governor) in Hawaii garanteed that everyone under 18 was covered with a small copay. It went bankrupt in 7 months. People who had work provided health care dropped it because the gov't plan was so much cheaper.

Yup, there were some scrooo'd folks in HI because of that. HI is, what... the 2nd most liberal state? I can't believe I want to live there.

Probably because of "open enrollment". A bunch of people dropped their kids off the work plan to take advantage of the gov't plan. Now they have to wait for their employer's open enrollment to put them back on, which means they may be subject to existing condition clauses, physicals etc...
Uninsured kids that have a medical emergency will still be taken care of as they are in any state. The bill will be written off and our insurance rates will go up to cover them. It' a vicious circle. But the gov't cannot be the solution.
