Dr. Srdja Trifkovic makes a fascinating interview.
Here he is comparing Western political correctness to totalitarianism in Eastern Europe.

Very accurate. I don't really need to comment on the race/family issues as those are all too obvious ways to seperate us when we should be united, but the educational topic does touch home. I have always been intrigued by history, but I realized early in public school that what we were taught was, in fact, revisionist history rather than historical fact; this prompted me to become more and more interested in literature since it is harder to manipulate. You can look back at literature(fiction) and get a sense of how people thought/lived at the time without the constraints placed upon historical academia...trust me they've tried just look at the ridiculous high proportion of liberal college lit profs vs. conservative or neutral; are there any? Unfortunately, it appears our PC world is trying to advance even this further, something they somehow haven't been able to accomplish with a 99% liberal literal prof majority. Anybody hear the recent story where someone tried to rewrite Mark Twain's novels to omit non PC words regarding Huck's mentor/role model/friend Jim?
In any case, for a free thinking society I find it odd that political conversations with my mother end with her looking at me like the next Branch Davidian even though we are from the exact same background. Or how about the fact that I have to look up legal code so that I can find out whether or not I can legally purchase some crazy new Kel Tec firearm or Benchmade knife? Or ride through State X without a helmet(wouldn't do it anyway, but still..)? Anyone but Taxman worried about getting audited because you didn't understand block nine zillion on form wtf, subsection cf while doing your taxes?
