Congress gets their raise

As bad as things are Congress just got their annual raise of 4,700. a year. These guys have balls the size of basketballs. How much are we gonna take? They just keep shoving it in our faces. Layoffs, economy in the tank, forclousers, and these arrogant bastards get a raise.

I got $4400... but I don't make near what they make. I took mine, but I had to work more than 50 hours a week and I didn't get junkets and kick backs.

We're doing ok at our community bank because we didnt follow the big guys into risky loans and investments. Dont need and arent taking any TARP money. Should be decent raise/bonus this year but one never knows what the future will bring. We're carrying double required capital (16%) and hope to come out of it as a profitable survivor. That said, sympathize with those facing job problems -- went through job loss in 1989 NJ real estate bust.
