They bought ads to thank the American people for the bailout. Kind of like sending yourself a thank you card since they are now owned at least in part by us. Caused quite an outrage as the full page ads were expensive.

Here's linK:

By the way as of this morning, Fox seems to be the only network to have caught the story. Where's the mainstream media regarding this or any other issue that reflects badly on the Dems.

G - by ignoring fox you are missing learning the other side. As much as I detest Keith Oberman, I sometimes tune in to see what he is ranting about. I also get opposing viewpoints everytime I tune in to the major media.

I'll agree that the commentators on Fox (O'Reilly, Hannity, etc.) are predominantly conservative. Just like talk radio, liberal commentators cannot attract or hold an audience (e.g. Air America). However, Fox's news side (Britt Hume, Chris Wallace, etc.) are much more "fair and balanced". Its only that the mainstream news media is skewed so left that anything contrary seems different. If you are relying only on NBC, MSNBC, CNN, et. al. you are getting only one side.

From what I can see, all television news networks, and virtually all newspapers, have pushed SO far to the left, for SO many years and decades, that today, from their (and their followers') extreme left vantage point, anything centrist or even moderate-left... seems to be extreme right.

In my opinion, from a news perspective Fox is not conservative at all. Of course, when you absorb CNN, the AP, NPR, etc, for a long period of time... then anything that doesn't line up with their constant push to the far left will appear to be radical right.

I want news that tells it like it is, maybe CNN is a little to the left but fox is so right its sad. The way they portrayed the war just mad me sick, they basically lied American people to help make the president case to sell the war. We all see how this is turning out.

I didn't see the ads, but I like the part in the article about the "nice" robber who says please and thank you while robbing you at gunpoint.

Good manners, it's just part of their breeding. I'm hoping for a kiss after they get done with us.
