Over the holidays I had some surgery and was in and out of the office so had lots of time to participate. Getting busier now (and my wife suspicious I am up to no good being on the net so much) so will be posting less - unless you all need some extra help with the Libs.

Seen you over there.. enjoy your posts.

Looking forward to a debate on here sometime about the 2nd Amendment (and concealed carry, too). I think it is certain that BO will put restrictions on guns at least as stringent as Clinton, if not more so. Good luck, as many persons learned their lessons the first time and scarfed up supplies of high capacity magazines, ammo and so-called assault weapons. I wish I owned stock in some gunmakers right now -- all the gun stores I frequent are really picked over.

Do you fine gentlemen know who push the assault weapon bill and what party he belongs too ?

I can post a link again of all the republicans that voted for it if you like. :)

I think you are confusing the Brady Bill with the Assault Weapon Ban bill. And frankly, it wouldn't surprise me if some republicans support either bill. There are many so-called moderate republicans that vote more like dems. Also, republicans from certain liberal states (NJ/NY, etc) vote liberal on issues like this. Heck, when we lived in the Peoples Republic of New Jersey I couldn't even buy a BB gun for my son.

And BO has re-enacting the Assault Weapons ban as a priority. Here is a quote I copied from BO's official website:

"They (Obama/Biden) also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

If you don't believe me here is link to the site:

Republicans voted for the assualt weapons bill too. :)

Well looks like we'll have to dig a hole in back yard before the man comes and gets our guns :)

Not saying they didn't, but I doubt any true conservatives did and there is a big difference. Also, the fact that Clinton signed it, GWB let it expire and BO wants to reenact it tells you what side of the political spectrum this is coming from.

As to the hole in the back yard, already have one, but not letting you in -- you're on your own G:D
