Democrat Rep. John "Cut and Run" Murtha’s latest stunt IMHO has crossed the line.
To stand up before the world and make accusations, that can’t be proven at the moment that undermine the war effort and do nothing but fuel the already anti-American sentiment, should be criminal. The guy himself is an ex-Marine, should know better, and I think truly he does. To sell out basic principals for possible political gain by denouncing the war effort with nothing more than speculation is despicable. Even if the investigations that are presently underway show that a mistake was made, he should at least wait until the evidence is in.
We have good men and women in harms way, and such actions put them at risk from retaliation for possibly false charges, shame on him. Will the Democratic leadership stop at nothing to bash Bush and the war effort?

Short answer, "NO", to their shame and detriment.
With that said the issues are valid BUT should be handled in a more civilized and discreet manner.
While I believe the current regime (ooops, administration) either lied or at very least misrepresented their intelligence, based on that a decision was made to place our fellows in harms way. In that effort our troops should be respected and supported for "as long as it takes".
It undermines their morale and effectiveness to broadcast this type of internal political infighting.

The Bush administration was recently chastised for being too naive or ignorant about Islamic culture to make educated decisions pertaining to foreign policy. The chastisement was and is justified. They have acted like the cowboys they aspire to be.

Much more needs to be done to understand the broader aspects of the situation and that won't happen by having more prayer meetings in the White House. You end up with one fudamentalist group butting heads with another. Never a strategy that leads to a rational solution.

I'm not a Bush Lover.....He's never done anything for me.....But I remember the vote for war was unanimous. Democrats and Republicans alike were on the news in one voice saying, "Let's Roll."

I don't believe we went in for ONE reason, WMD, I think we went in for several reasons. Training Terrorists, Bruitilizing the populace, and hording profits at the cost of your citizens are all reasons for removal from power in my opinion. Now that we are there, we need to finish the job. Let history decide the merits of the action, but to pull out before the infrastructure is re-established is criminal.
