View Full Version : Additional forums
In the future we will need additional areas of course to cover more detailed information. Do we need something like a current events and headline news forums to cover breaking news in one area?

Given that a lot of the discussion will be due to new developments, won't that just pull a diverse range of issues and posts into one big pot? That might make it harder to find relevant things, unless you had a current event and headlines section within each of the sections in the Main Political Area. Then if you wanted to comment on a current area or headline in Britain, you would go to that section in the UK area. Can you have subthread categories like that?

Maybe if topics become prevalent enough, at some point they could grow into subsections within the relevant geographic category.
I wonder about global issues that may not fit neatly into an existing category. Like issues relating to the UN or maybe even the Internet, i.e. Global Warming. But a "Global" area could end up holding issues that belong in another area.

Global too. The problem with gloobal issues is they can get so sticky.

I guess that depends on whether you consider gun issues as political or social.
We can always post under the "Rants" heading.
BTW, the comment was made earlier about "identity".
Max created this forum and left it open to all whether to carry over their 1130 identity or create a new more anonymous one, in order to feel more personally secure.
I think in the case of many liberals it did not go far enough but that is only conjecture.
I have revealed my 1130 persona here to many of those I know well but only because there is a level of mutual trust that goes hand in hand with the knowledge that those will not abuse the relationship.
