And Engels wonders why I have contempt for these people...

They've made a sculpture of the shoe that was thrown at GWB and seem to be celebrating it. I'm sure that this doesn't reflect all the views of Iraqis, but I don't see a lot of public condemnation on it either.

For whatever he was GWB did this people a great favor by liberating them from an oppressive dictatorial regime. No American president in recent history has been a better friend to the Iraqi people than GWB.

I'm sure the liberals will just revel in this story when they see it, but what they don't realize is this is not only a slap in the face to our former president, but also to the families of the troops whose blood was spilled to liberate these ingrates...

No kidding. Man, it just frosts me when this sort of stuff comes up.

I was over there in the first gulf war and one of my unit's responsibility was to run an enemy POW camp. We conducted medical screening and debriefing of the POWs. These guys were in dreadful shape when they got to us.

One of the reasons we were so successful in winning that war is because of the disgraceful way he treat his own troops. These guys were out in the middle of the desert with inadequate clothing/footgear, very little if any food and water, etc. They used to chase our guys down just so they could surrender to us. These are the people who fought for this guy.

Some may remember the Iran/Iraq war where he used chemical weapons on his own people. Not to mention the rape and torture chambers he and his sons subjected political oponents and innocent civilians to.

All this whining about the war ignores two very important things:

1. We liberated 28 Million Iraqi people.

2. Bush stood behind the Iraqi government as they were building their democracy even as Maliki threw him under the political bus on more than one occasion.

OK, I could go on, but I gotta quit...
