The Venezuelan president basically says that, if his referendum to abolish term limits fails, he will propose it again and again, until it passes.
Chavez tells the CNN news network that if Venezuelans reject a proposal to lift term limits in a Feb. 15 referendum, his supporters could try again in the future.
Chavez says "there's no limit in the constitution regarding the number of times that an amendment can be attempted."
Opposition leaders disagree with the comments Chavez made Monday.
