View Full Version : Were a subprime country
It seems were a subprime country now. The government is trying to borrow 67 billion right now just to pay for the pork we already have to get the government by and are having a tough time.

At what point are they going to realize they can't keep giving money away to things like GM and CA.

Agree. Everyone in government is morbidly rabid for power, votes, and paybacks for their supporters. Everyone in big (deficit) business is rabid for patch-fixes, hoping to keep things going for just another year, make their payouts, and get out. Meanwhile the rest of us are mortgaged for the foreseeable future, and will be left with nationalized, socialized industry, health care, and banking systems that simply do not work.
This train has been rolling for 60 years. Now we can clearly see the chasm, and finally most people realize this track doesn't cross it. While the train is still moving, these morons are scrambling to build an inadequate bridge... instead of slowing down, stopping, doing whatever is necessary to turn around completely.

If the banks weren't already bail out we would already be in a bigger mess. I'm afraid if we do nothing we'll have another depression.

At this rate, they are debasing the dollar to the point of risking incredible inflation, as a huge side order of this crisis we are already in. In other words, doesn't matter how much money you got in the kitty (unless you're Bill Gates) cuz it aint going to be worth the paper its printed on.
