Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to become the new prime minister of Israel.

Gaza of course tops the list of issues, and Netanyahu does not favor the "two-state solution." That proposal advocates Israel cede some its land (as we know, Israel does not have much) to a group of well known terrorist primitives, who have sworn to eliminate Israel, so they can establish permanent operations adjacent to Israel. Note the word-play calling this proposal a solution; it would be more aptly-named the "two state suicide."

Conservatives see the "two state suicide" as an infantile, western pandering and pacification approach to a very dangerous, eastern people who will not be pacified.

But it is clear that international pressures promoted in the media firmly support and encourage the giving of land to terrorists with the hope that this will pacify them. These pressures are already being exerted upon Netanyahu and Israel. When the incoming prime minister deflects questions about giving away its land, and instead refers to "Palestinian" economic issues, the NYT reports (http://www.iht.com/articles/reuters/2009/03/16/africa/OUKWD-UK-ISRAEL-COALITION.php) he "wants to shift the focus of Palestinian statehood talks from territorial to economic issues, a plan rejected by Palestinians." When unable to goad Netanyahu into submission on this issue, the press will portray him as "hardline." Media publications are already publishing editorials dripping with disgust (http://www.iht.com/articles/2009/03/18/mideast/israel.php) for the new Israeli government, which hasn't even begun yet.

Our own Secretary of State Clinton brought these same two-state expectations (http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull&cid=1235898329243) when she recently met with Mr. Netanyahu. Their meeting took place after Clinton had visited Gaza, promising hundreds of millions of US taxpayer money to the "rebuild" there (money that, if given, will almost certainly rebuild bomb stockpiles), and after Clinton left Egypt, where she had once again declared US commitment to a "two-state solution." Bill Clinton's failed efforts to push for two-state happiness and global peace between Israelis and the terrorists swearing to wipe them out are well-known, but the current Clinton, and her Obama administration, are heading down that same path.

And Obama is taking a giant step further. He has already begun reaching out to terrorist Iran (http://www.iht.com/articles/2009/03/20/mideast/20obama-iranCND.php).

I'm afraid Israel is not going to have the friend it used to have in the US. Clinton seems to favor the Hamas terrorists over the Isreali's. This will be some trying times for America. I can't understand why the jews in this country supported BO.

Netanyahu is a hard liner, but a small country like Israel has to have a strong leader. If they don't stand up for themselves the surrounding countries would swallow them up.
