The web site is "The middle class" not the left, I don't think you'll find a lot of bills that will run one up our butt unlike the right.
You can click on "Bills" and see if the boogie man is coming after your gun.

oh i understand it but i also under stand that the top 5% pay what was it like 70% of the taxes so the raise that they might have intaxes wouldn't even be noticeable. plus the bill lower's the tax rate's on those middle class family's that might get inheritance of over 5 million im still not seeing what's wrong with this.
or do you not understand it and just follwing blindly like you normally do?

Did you read this at all ?
Amendment to Remove Legalization Provisions from the Immigration Bill of 2007
in
* Agricultural labor
* Border enforcement
* Comprehensive immigration reform
* Earned legalization
* Immigration
* Mass deportation
* Path to citizenship
Introduced:
05.22.2007 [Senate]
Sponsor:
Sen. David Vitter [R-LA]
Senate: Yea-29, Nay-66
Failed, not amended to S 1348: 05.24.07
The Legislation:
The Amendment to Remove Legalization Provisions from the Immigration Bill strikes language from the proposed Senate immigration bill that would have created a new category of “Z visas” available to immigrants living in the United States illegally. In the immigration bill, undocumented immigrants present in the U.S. before 2007 could qualify for temporary legal residency (the Z visa), and ultimately get in line for citizenship after passing a background check, demonstrating efforts to learn English and U.S. civics, and paying substantial fines. This amendment would have eliminated the entire Z visa section of the bill, removing the only means for millions of undocumented immigrants currently living and working in the U.S. to legalize their immigration status. The result would be an immigration bill that maintains the status quo for undocumented immigrants while de facto endorsing their mass deportation.

Exactly. I also know some farmers who own $1 Million+ in land but make less $70,000/year farming. They are only rich if they sell their land, which they won't as it was handed down from their forefathers. I would not call them rich but am sure BO has them targeted via death taxes.

I am totally and absolutely against any kind of death tax or inheritance tax whatsoever, especially when you're talking about rates of 45% or 60% like they are. If I start a business, work hard, built a nice home that increases in value, invest my money wisely, all the while paying income and property and employer taxes, etc. why should any government have the right to take any amount of that money when I die? It's money I made and employed people with and invested in companies with so they could grow. The damn government has no right to that money at all. They may have the power to take it, but they sure don't have the right.

The bill makes my point that Republicans take care of the rich and big business. Watch the web site and see how many bills the Republicans submit that help the middle class or the rich and business. American's need to look at the legislation being sponsor by the Republicans and see who it favors. The bills speak for them selves.

If you want a true NON-Partisan website to see how politicians voted (without the class warfare spin and political slant) you can go to www.vote-smart.org
Find the issue you're interested in and see how they voted. Then you can decide what it means rather than have someone else tell you. The [true] American way my friend....;)

Oh I'm not. The irony is that our tough times have caused the sale and that's why I posted it. I'm still looking for a summer job in between semesters and every major employer around here is damn near belly up. The go to place for summer help had 500 people on the floor two years ago and now they're down to 80 and even they only operate four days a week. Ah well, one more semester and I'll go nearly anywhere in the country to start a career and with that career will probably come another V-Rod. In the meantime I'm taking half the money from the sale and picking up a Ulysses Friday. With the magical ability to inflate gas prices without actually raising the cost of oil one must never be without a solid motorcycle.

A trade in is probably a no go. Only way to do it is to sell and then buy another bike privately. The downside is that the bike market sucks and you'll probably take a hit on the V-Rod, but on the up side the guy you buy the other bike from will also take a hit, so; as long as it is all about motorcycles you won't be too screwed. Of course this assumes the bike is paid off to begin with.

You are so right about this, I keep hearing on the news that things are better because the market is up. The market is up from profit taking and not due to any business decisions. This morning even 6 flags in dallas filed chapter 11. I believe we have a huge wave of business's getting ready to close down and they are hanging on by a thread hoping things improve. My own thought is that the worst will actually hit in March 2010. I know economist say were going to be recovering. Of course they were the same people that didn't see this bubble busting.
I'll explain why I think that. As we near the end of summer retail jobs will pickup just a little due to preparing for the holiday season. This next coming holiday season is going to really pull the rug out from many that are just holding on. That will be reflected in a large number of closures at the first of 2010 followed by another round of not only home foreclosures but also commercial properties like we have never seen. There you have my simple reasoning and logic. If your back in the market like I am start pulling back to bonds early in Sept or late August.

This recent slight bounce in the market is just the calm before the storm.
Now is the time to prepare to ride through it. I've been selling my stocks and mutual funds lately in preparation to move to bonds, notes, and maybe some commodities if I get bold. Also going to sell some things and try to find some income.
On the bright side, all this will effect the 2010 congressional elections, which could serve to slow down some of Obama's plans. But I'm sure he knows this and will push through everything he can in the meantime!

Cascading effects in the economy will continue like a P wave in an earth quake zone.

Now that one is funny. Seems to forget one of the important benefits in their so-called list -- the ability to make rich those trading in the credits such as Algore and company.
Also, how are they going to "cap and trade" against natural emitters of CO2 like forest fires and volcanos. Or me-- burning brush in my back yard and my woodburning fireplace and firepit? In your face algore and assorted environmental wackos!
