I See Where Your Coming From There But On The Same Hand You Have To Think If Someone Want's To Shoot Someone They Will Anyway.
Maybe A Advanced Cert. Should Be Offered Which Requires More Than Just One Class.

When I was in college guns on campus were no big deal. I had my Dad's Japanese Carbine with bayonet standing in the corner of my dorm room as a display piece and a pellet gun we used for target practice (dinged the back of my dorm room with some flyers which missed the target trap). Also shot chipmunks out of the window with the pellet gun and I drained some guy's plastic jug of apple cider that he had hanging out of his window to keep it cold. And lest you wonder, this was not some Hillbilly College, but a major Pennsylvania University. Those were the "good old days."

When I started college one of my dorm mates was carrying a rifle into his room and the resident adviser said, "no way, you can't have that on campus." To be honest I was shocked that we couldn't have guns on campus and so where the rest of us. I mean there is a second amendment and most of us didn't want to live on campus anyway, but the college required it for freshmen.

i got one better when i first moved to school i was still only 17 so i couldn't have my apartment in my name i couldn't have a gun hell i couldn't buy spray paint to paint a bike frame i found. it took me about 4 month's before i was able to make it back home and even then my dad wouldn't let me take a gun back down with me, talk about feeling weird i was living in the getto of orlando we lost power for 3 week's after one of the hurricane's and i had to sleep with my door open and only a golf club to protect myself.
needless to say i rigged up a trap to warn me if someone was comeing in, one night i was asleep and the wind knocked my trap over talk about scarey i jumped up with that club my heart was racing trying to find who had knocked it over. i didn't sleep the rest of the night i was to wide awake i just played video games.

A golf club. Nice. I've been pretty lucky. So far I've never lived anywhere that made me feel like I needed a gun for home defense...well except Baghdad. I just like to have them around to go shooting targets and never considered that there were places you could live that wouldn't allow guns. Gun ownership is kind of a basic right here in Oklahoma. I bet Georgia's much the same.

LOL, Don't know much about hard cider as our family was teetotalers.:)
You should have seen the look on that students face when he pulled in his empty jug and couldnt figure out where the cider went (I just nicked the bottom of it).

While I was in college, I was also trained for M-16, M-203 and M-60. I was well armed for 2 days a month :D

I'm in that exact boat right now. Only subtract the M-60 and add the M9Beretta, the Ma Deuce, the saw, and the 240Bravo.

You guys played with the little stuff, try pulling the lanyard (sp) on a 8" Howitzer or setting in the tub of a SP Vulcan and letting it rock and roll, now thats putting some lead down range. :D
