Well the stock market isn't based on anything but greed and emotion. If you figure those two things out or do like most of the people that make real money at it which is with insider information. Then you can do good at it, otherwise it's like sitting at a crap table and the house always wins.....................

All my 401(k) funds are currently in a money market fund (yeah, I'm conservative about money, too) and the fund actually had a negative return last quarter after the fees were taken out. If I could get the funds out of there without penalty, I would bury them in a coffee can in my backyard, right next to the bomb shelter, SHTF arsenal and roll of tin foil.:D

Bonds is the only place that making money, its not much but its not going backwards either. The rest of the places I could move my money is in the tank and hasn't made money in months.
