Maybe the Conservatives on this site are the ones who ought to get mad and leave, instead of the Libs. For goodness sake, what do the Liberals on this site (and elsewhere) have to be be mad about? Their guy is in power as is their Congress. They are on the way to realizing their greatest dreams of a re-ordered country. The greatest labor union power grab in the history of our country is just one vote away from happening.

What do they expect from us -- to suddenly see the light and adopt their positions? To slap old BO on the back and tell him he is great? To not critically analyzed the other side of the issues? To give up on our core beliefs regarding the constitutional principles and traditions that we believe have made our country the greatest in the history of the world?

I just wonder if deep in their hearts they are not questioning how quickly and recklessly their Party is moving us into uncharted waters, which may have unforeseen and horrible consequences. I think we have struck some nerves -- if they really had courage of their convictions they would still be here.

Oh, and why is it so difficult to find liberals willing to come on this site and state their convictions? Could it be because being a liberal is easy -- but defending liberalism intellectually (without name calling and demonizing talk show hosts and Fox News) is difficult?

If you really want to get pissed check out "newsvine" it's an MSNBC sponsored forum full of nut jobs; I get banned on a weekly basis.

Been there and done that! Heck, go to a sport bike forum and post in their religous or political sections and the freaks come out like roaches when the light goes on! The young and dumb habitat for sure! That really scares me! We will be nothing without our younger generation speaking up for the founding Fathers. But they don't know much about that! Agreed. Both those guys have strong opinions but can agree without being disagreeable. I would put the late G in that category, too. Now, TT is a different animal. He would have been so much more persuasive if his interpersonal skills were a little more refined.

I have no idea who TT is over there. Everyone mentioned may be opinionated, but their also tend to be rather genial about their opinions. Even when Lux is being brash or Louise is going on about a point of view that most Americans can't relate too, their quirks give them character. TT just kind of terrifies me in a Jim Jones/Charles Manson sort of way.
