I know many of us ride Vrods or Harleys and are members of 1130cc and I really never mentioned this there..but,I was feeling really low when BO won and I plopped down the cash on a new 2008 Honda CBR 1000rr. I was going to buy the 1125CR Buell but Harley would not make a deal but Honda would. So, don't think me crazy but my second or third childhood is to blame. I would never sell my TB/IC Vrod but I like this bike for the fact that it is so light that I can push it in and out of my shop with 2 other bikes and a tractor sitting near. :rofl Jeb

Nothing wrong with having a CBR sitting next to your vrod. I've been know to grab my son's Ninja and scare the wee out of myself. And that's the free market at work -- HD won't deal so you buy something from a competitor -- and frankly something probably more reliable than the Buell.

I know but they would prolly yuk me up over there at our home base! The thing is a fine machine though and it is a good daily rider since I changed the bars and rearsets! I hit 53...what can I say! Jeb

Hey, my other bike is a Beemer which I found gets pretty good reception "over there". Just so it is on 2 wheels, ride it like you stole it!

The only problem with them crotch rockets is there just to damn fast. My son has a GSXR600 and he takes it to the drag strip. It's stock and just wicked fast.

Now Cajun, too damn fast is not in my vocabulary! I am on one fast Turbocharged Vrod. But the top speed is scary! I wish one of you was close enough that one could ride my Vrod and I could race the CBR 1000rr against it on the street. I know it would be interesting because I really can't tell the difference in short runs. I have been in the very low 10s with the vrod. But I understand the CBR is a 9 second machine. Jeb

I pretty much like all different kinds of bikes and the only reason I probably won't own a full bore crotch rocket again is because of the insurance issue. That 1125cr does call out to me though everytime I see one.

It is a sweet looking little bike! I pay about $126.00 per year for my vrod and 700 per year for the CBR! Sucks and that is with the little lizard!

No offense taken. I am sure you are enjoying that bike. There's something to be said for a light little machine that packs the most fun into a small footprint. And whenever you want your maneuverability fix, Harley isn't exactly the first thing you're going to think of. I have to admit I like the new Buell, but I just don't have room for another bike right now.

I'm here in Arizona. Great riding weather, no helmet required (I wouldn't suggest that) and lots of great roads and mountains to enjoy the open road. All I need now is another V-ROD :(

Yep I really do miss the V. My next bikes will probably be a 250 dual sport and an 1125cr. I like the Uly more but when I can afford to have a "stable" again I will certainly find a V-Rod and mod the crap out of it. Really, really enjoyed doing things to the DX and I just don't have that drive with my current bike or the others on my list to modify them other than with things like heated gear, bags, etc.

Jeb I had a 2004 cbr 1000rr and really miss it. But the bike was stupid fast on the top end and not having it probably has added years to my life. :)
